Teaching Assistants

Students in levels 4-5 are encouraged to apply to become Teaching Assistants.  This is a wonderfully rewarding experience.  By working as an assistant, you receive marketable work experience and you will grow as a dancer. Teaching assistants are chosen by the Dance Program Director. The respective instructors of any given class will supervise teaching assistants. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Taking roll
  • Measuring students for costumes
  • Monitoring bathroom breaks
  • Assisting in correcting student technique (as deemed appropriate by the instructor)
All scholarship students in levels 4-5 are expected to serve as Teaching Assistants.
